Things to do at the Open 2014 (Hoylake)

in Gaming

The town that is closest to Royal Liverpool and the host town for the tournament is Hoyake. You may or may not know that Hoylake is quite small, but its very easy to get around as everything is pretty much based around the main road. To get to Hoylake from Royal Liverpool’s clubhouse, turn left and go straight over the roundabout, the town starts here!

If you turn right at the roundabout you will find the train station, this can take you to most locations on the Wirral and it can take you over to Liverpool aswell, Trains generally run every 15 minutes. Trains normally run to West Kirby, but the practice ground for the Open is on Hoylake Municipal course, which means the players must cross the tracks to get there.

Bars

On the cresent opposite the train station is Jack Rabbit Slims, which offers a unique atmosphere in Hoylake. The bar boasts having live bands on most days which makes it one of very few places that do that. There will be bands playing from Wednesday to Sunday.  Jack Rabbit Slims also offers “Italian Street food” which is available all day and night.
